impressionist art

on the weekends karisa and I have gone to the musee d'orsay which is an art museum in paris and monet's home and gardens outside of paris. the first pictures are of the huge clock inside the musee d'orsay. the space used to be an old train station and now is used as an interesting space for an art museum.

then the next pictures are from monet's gardens. we went on a saturday afternoon and it was picturesque. it was great to see what influenced monet to paint his impressionist work and his japanese gardens were gorgeous. although it was a pretty far trip outside of paris, we definitly found it to be worth the trip.

behind the clock.

house across the street from monet's house.

it felt like the whole town was engulfed in greenery.

monet's adorable, pink house.

the view of his front yard.

there were tons of different types of flowers and plants.

this is my favorite picture.

looking up at the enormous weeping willow.

"hi mom!"

the japanese gardens.

the money shot.

old rowboat in the stream that monet painted.

more beautiful flowers.
