the next week, karisa and i went to florence to visit our friend danille who is studying there through f.i.t. the city is very small so we just had a relaxing time walking around all day and drinking chianti at night. unfortunately, we couldn't get into the uffizi gallery or see david, but we saw almost everything else. the buildings were beautiful and italy was a nice change from france. the weather was picturesque while we walked along the river eating gelato. the next day our flight left out of pisa so we took a detour and went to see the leaning tower of pisa. it was pretty cool and of course we took the stereotypical tourist pictures because we are sterotypical tourists!
