part un: jardins du luxembourg. part deux: eiffel tower

part un: the first pictures here are of jardins du luxembourg. it's a palace with huge public gardens that are breathtakingly beautiful. all of the parisians go there on the weekends and lay around in the sun.








part deux: on one of our first nights here, karisa and i planned to have a "romantic date" at the eiffel tower. we bought yummy baguettes and brought our own bottle of wine to have a picnic dinner on the lawn in front of the eiffel tower. on our way there, karisa is saying to me, "are you sure it's okay to drink in public here???? are we gonna get arrested for drinking wine in a park???". i assured her (even though i was not so sure) that it was fine and no one would care if we casually drank our wine. so we get there and literally everyone has a bottle of wine or champagne, and there are guys walking around selling cheap bottles of champagne to the dining tourists!! it was so funny and we probably drank a bit much, but when in paris, drink like the parisians do, no?
